As a child I remember waking up to the aroma of different baked goodies and a busy kitchen. Being the only daughter with four sons, my mom had no choice but to train me as her assistant in the kitchen, which I enjoyed tremendoulsy. Initially my role was to sift flours, a can-opener, taster, errand girl, etc., then I was promoted and allowed to bake my own thing! Bonus was I had four brothers and papa to criticize my baking and cooking. Let me tell you though, they are hard to please. I recall confusing sugar with iodized salt while baking macaroons in a large batch and when my youngest brother tasted it, he spit it out and I thought he was being mean (sorry bro :). Anyway, there are many trials and errors in cooking especially in baking where one has to be precise. I'm still learning and will continue to look for the best recipes to perfect my craft. In this blog, I will quote a certain recipe-how it turned out in my kitchen, how it taste in my perspective, any adjustments made, reviews by my trusted tasters at home, and so on and so forth... Join me as I undertake to look and cook/bake the best recipe out there.
